As Major League Soccer begins its 13th season, there's a few interesting stories developing. MLS Cup champions Houston and runners-up New England return much of the same team that returned them to the final match last year. Western Conference champions Chivas USA also return many of the same players, but may lose star keeper Brad Guzan to the EPL in the July transfer window. Supporters' Shield winners DC United return a totally retooled team, and it will be interesting to see if the new players can
help bring more success to a city used to winning trophies. The San José Earthquakes begin anew as an expansion team, while second-year team Toronto FC have already sold out BMO Field again this season. Marquee players David Beckham and Cuauhtéhmoc Blanco play in their first full season for Los Angeles and Chicago, respectively. Superliga returns in July and the inaugural CONCACAF Champions League starts in August. All in all this looks to be the most interesting season to date, and should provide lots of great entertainment while we wait for our team.
