The event in Chester will begin at 1 on Thursday, the 28th, at the Wharf at Rivertown, 2501 Seaport Dr., Chester, PA. Here is a Google map, and here are directions from all over the region. We will be meeting on the right side of the building, way back in the corner of the parking lot and would like to have everyone there by 12:45. We hope to go on a short walking tour afterwards of the stadium site along the brand-new riverwalk, right next to the event location.
I hear there's a nasty cold going around...catch the light blue and yellow flu and be there!
Please wear SoB gear, or light blue or yellow t-shirts. We also will have 65 special announcement scarves that we went on a limb and had made a while back available. $20, first come, first served, 1 per person.
We really hope to see you there. If you're planning on coming, please take a few seconds to fill out the form to the right so we have a good idea of how many people will be there:
There's also an R2 Wilmington/Newark train leaving Center City at 12:20, arriving at the Highland Avenue stop at 1:00. If you plan on taking the train, reply to this email and I'll be sure to have someone at the stop to pick you up.
Be sure you're familiar with "I'm Looking Over a Four-Leaf Clover." We're looking to make it our "You'll Never Walk Alone" or "I'm Forever Blowing Bubbles." If you're unfamiliar with it, you can find an MP3 of it here (words come in about halfway through) and lyrics and a MIDI of the music here. We sang it at the MLS Cup last November, there's a somewhat intelligible video of us practicing it on the bus here. We may have one more surprise up our sleeves, as well...
The Celebration
Whether or not you can attend the event, we hope you will join us for the resulting celebration. Thursday, starting at 5:30, as well as Friday night and all day Saturday (including the early EPL games) we'll be at the Dark Horse Pub at 2nd and Pine in Philadelphia.
